Media: Europe Preparing New Type Of Sanctions Against Russia

Ricard Jozwiak, editor of Radio Liberty for Europe, reported on the social network X that the EU authorities have decided to introduce a new sanctions regime against Russia.

“EU ambassadors will on Wednesday agree on a new thematic sanctions regime targeting Russia’s hybrid threats. Will be formalized next week. No names yet but will be added in future,” he wrote.

Jozwiak added that they initially wanted to introduce a general sanctions regime, but eventually agreed to focus on Russian threats.
