During the assault on Russian positions near Avdiivka, a shell hit a car in which, among other people, Censor.NET editor-in-chief Yuri Butusov was located.

“The assault on September 26, 2023, was one of the hardest days of the war for me. On that day, as part of the assault crew of the reconnaissance and strike group of the 59th motorized infantry brigade, I took part in an attack on Russian positions south of Avdiivka.

During the assault, an enemy shell hit our car through artillery fire, my brother-in-arms died next to me, and three more soldiers were wounded.

“This video is dedicated to the memory of the Ukrainian hero who gave his life in this battle,” Butusov said.
