The IDF attacked Hezbollah military targets in southern Lebanon. Thousands of the terrorists' rocket launchers, which they were planning to fire at Israeli territory, were destroyed.

This was reported by the spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces, Daniel Hagari.

The latest Israeli strikes came after fighter jets struck about 180 targets in southern Lebanon on Saturday afternoon. They destroyed thousands of rocket launchers prepared to attack Israel.

Meanwhile, officials have imposed new restrictions on residents of Haifa and northern Israel as the country braces for a possible large-scale attack by Lebanese terrorists in the coming hours, following heavy blows from multiple attacks in recent days.

IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said that about 100 rockets were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel on Saturday.

The incoming rockets into Lebanon can be seen in this video:

Amid the fighting, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held consultations with ministers and senior defense officials on security matters on Saturday evening.

Hagari said there could be further changes to the guidelines depending on developments, and warned that rockets could be fired into Israel in the coming hours.

"If there are any further changes, overnight or tomorrow, we will update immediately. It is possible that rockets and other threats could be fired into Israel in the coming hours. We ask that you follow the Home Front Command's instructions," he said.

Israel Air Force Commander-in-Chief Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar said the country's military is on the highest alert.
