New details of the strike.

Tonight, the Ukrainian Defense Forces preliminarily destroyed a stockpile of missiles and other ammunition that the Russian Federation purchased from the DPRK.

The 719th artillery base of the Russian Armed Forces, which had previously appeared in OSINT investigations, came under attack.

The influential American Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) wrote about it, in particular.

Back in February 2024, the Center released a large investigation into the supply of North Korean ammunition to Russia.

It was reported there that since the summer of 2023, large-scale construction of new storage sites for shells from the DPRK has begun on the territory of the 719th base of the Russian Armed Forces.

“Tikhoretsk remains a strategically important ammunition storage facility for the South of Russia and the war against Ukraine,” the article said.

The base is located in the village of Kamenny in the Krasnodar region, approximately 350 kilometers from the territories of Ukraine controlled by Kyiv.

On the night of September 21, the military facility was hit by Ukrainian drones, which resulted in a massive fire with detonations.

The authorities and the Russian Defense Ministry claim that the drone attack was allegedly intercepted, and the emergency occurred due to “falling debris”. Meanwhile, Kamenny is being urgently evacuated.
