They were allegedly mistaken for a hit squad.

Last night, Russian territorial defence units shot civilians in Kursk region, mistaking them for Ukrainian hit squads, writes ‘Dialogue’.

This was reported by the Russian Z-war correspondent Saponkov on his Telegram-channel, publishing details of the emergency.

According to his data, the received and unconfirmed information about the breakthrough of Ukrainian saboteurs on the Kursk - Lgov highway caused panic among the Russian military, which opened fire against civilian transport on the highway.

According to the military propagandist, there have been no fatalities so far, but the Russian military have wounded people. The fire was opened against civilians 12 kilometres away from the AFU's forward units in Kursk region, but still the Russians were badly spooked.

‘It is still unknown whether there were hit squads on the motorway. If you are scared, you should stay at home,’ Saponkov commented on what was happening.
