The details were provided by the Ministry of Taxes and Duties.

The Ministry of Taxes and Duties of Belarus explained the rules for paying income tax when renting out residential premises.

The owner of the housing who receives income from renting out is obliged to pay income tax, regardless of whether a rental agreement has been concluded or not. The tax is calculated and paid independently at the rates specified in Appendix 2 to the Tax Code, and the rate depends on the number of rooms rented out.

The owner who provides housing to young specialists or young workers (employees) is exempt from paying income tax, if they have supporting documents.
