The Ministry of Defence of Belarus made the statement.

They say that the number of NATO troops on the border with Belarus is growing rapidly. And this “leads to tension in the region.”

“Our country is taking all possible measures to prevent escalation. However, if someone crosses our borders, the reaction will be harsh. The main factor in preventing war on our land is the Armed Forces. The authorities are constantly strengthening their potential in several directions: supplying them with modern weapons and equipment, forming territorial troops and militia units. The main deterrent is nuclear weapons,” the Ministry of Defense said.
