Every minute counts.

Rescuers, law enforcers and volunteers are rushing to get to the basement in Ukrainian Kyiv following the fly-in of the Russian missile at the building of the "Okhmatdet" hospital, as children and medical staff were hiding there during the alarm.

This was stated by the head of the Ministry of internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko on air of the national TV farathon, writes "Ukrayinska Pravda".

According to the Minister, about 500 law enforcement officers and civilian volunteers are involved in removing the rubble. People are working, replacing each other, as every minute counts and strength is leaving people.

Klimenko noted that now it is important to find those who may be under the rubble and get to the basement of the children's building, because children and medical staff were sheltering there.

"It is necessary for us to dismantle the rubble quickly enough. Law enforcement forces, more than 500 people are working in shifts. Some volunteers run out of forces, others come in - police officers, rescuers. Everyone is being involved in this work... We have about 1 hour and 20 minutes to clear the rubble. Now the heavy machinery is coming in, which will lift the reinforced concrete structures after the bricks have been removed in order to get to the basement. This is because there were medical staff and children in the basement during the air raid," said the Interior Minister.
