Belarus Changes Rules For Issuing Driver's Licenses

It has become known what innovations will come into effect on July 6.

Today, July 6, some provisions of the updated law on road traffic come into force in Belarus. They concern the procedure for exchanging and issuing driver's licenses, as well as taking exams on a manual transmission.

The zerkalo.io website reported what will change:

Citizens of Russia and Belarus who apply to the traffic police departments to exchange licenses issued in Russia will not need to pass a theoretical exam;

The procedure for exchanging a foreign driver's license in the event of its loss is simplified;

Pre-registration for a repeat practical exam is introduced for those who failed it on the first and subsequent attempts. The minimum duration of such a test in real traffic conditions has been eliminated; the duration of its implementation will be determined only by the fulfillment of mandatory elements;

To test your motorcycle driving skills on a special site, you will be given the opportunity to make one mistake, and the exam will continue from the starting position of the element that was not completed.
