Russia's deepening political and military integration into Belarus, including the deployment of advanced Russian military capabilities and personnel, has negative implications for the Alliance's regional stability and defence, says the declaration of the Washington Summit dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Alliance.

The document notes that Belarus continues to contribute to Russia's war of aggression against Ukraine.

"Belarus continues to contribute to this war by providing its territory and infrastructure. Russia's deepening political and military integration into Belarus, including the deployment of advanced Russian military capabilities and personnel, has negative implications for the Alliance's regional stability and defence," the summit participants said.

The declaration notes that Russia's irresponsible nuclear rhetoric and coercive nuclear signals, including the announced deployment of nuclear weapons in Belarus, demonstrate a position of strategic intimidation.

We remind you, the NATO summit was held in Washington. The participating countries said in a joint statement that Ukraine's future is in NATO, they support Kyiv's right to choose its own security mechanism and decide its future without external interference.

NATO will send Ukraine an invitation to join the alliance when the allies agree and Kyiv fulfils all the necessary conditions.
