Battalion Of Former Prisoners Appear In Ukraine

Ukraine has formed a "Characterniki" battalion, which will consist of citizens who served their sentences in places of imprisonment.

This is stated on the Telegram-channel of the 24 separate mechanised brigade named after King Daniel.

It is noted that the recruits used the opportunity to get a second chance. The brigade said that among them there are a lot of patriots who have repeatedly expressed a desire to defend Ukraine. Also quite a few people with combat experience.

"Volunteers used their right to redeem their guilt and decided to stand up to arms, defending their native land from invaders," stated the message.

The former prisoners have already taken a military oath of allegiance to the Ukrainian people. In the near future, the "Characterists" will start performing combat missions and will show themselves on the battlefield.
