First Time The Most Modern Su-57 Fighter Was Damaged In Russia

The aircraft fell under attack at the Akhtubinsk air base 600 km from the front line.

On June 8, a Su-57 multifunctional fighter of the aggressor state was hit on the territory of the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, located 589 kilometers from the line of contact.

This is reported by the Ukrainian Defence Intelligence (GUR) with reference to satellite images of the aircraft location at the airfield.

GUR notes that the pictures show the Su-57 intact on June 7, and on June 8, craters from the explosion and spots of fire caused appeared near it.

The damage to the Su-57 is the first such case in history.

The Su-57 is the most modern Russian fighter jet, which is capable of using the Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles.

Few units of these combat aircraft are in service with the Russian Aerospace Forces.
