Russian Reconnaissance Aircraft Left Baranavichy Airfield

Russian Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft took off from the Baranavichy airfield and redeployed to Shatalava in the Smolensk region, where the 4th separate reconnaissance squadron of the Russian Aerospace Forces is based.

The aircraft have been permanently in Belarus since January 2023, participating in joint flight and tactical exercises, writes Belaruski Hajun.

The Su-24MR aircraft provides all-weather integrated aerial reconnaissance day and night to a depth of up to 400 kilometers from the line of combat contact with counteraction to enemy air defense systems.

There are 5 aircraft (a Su-25 attack aircraft and 4 Su-30SM fighters) and 11 helicopters (5 Mi-28, 5 Ka-52 and 1 Mi-26) of the Russian Aerospace Forces remaining in Belarus.
