BRYU Falls Under EU Sanctions

The head of the Lukomol is also on the blacklist.

The BRYU was included in the 14th package of EU sanctions against Russia. The text of the document was published in the official journal of the EU.

“The Belarusian Republican Youth Union is an organization in Belarus that is one of the main participants in the deportation of Ukrainian children from the illegally occupied territories of Ukraine to Belarus. The Belarusian Republican Youth Union participates in the re-education and political indoctrination of children, and also coordinates practical aspects, such as the placement of children on the territory of Belarus. Thus, the Belarusian Republican Youth Union materially supports actions that undermine and threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine,” the statement says.

The blacklist includes the first secretary of the BRYU Central Committee Aliaksandr Lukyanau, OAO BelOMO and its general director Aliaksandr Maroz, and the state secretary of the “union state” Dzmitry Miazentsau.
