He was helped by some rather comical circumstances.

According to "Nasha Niva", Siarhei Aniukhouski has spent several days in the pre-trial detention centre, but in the end he was quickly released. He was helped by rather comical circumstances.

Siarhei Aniukhouski, 44, has been working as director of Minsk "Kammunarka" since 2021. A native of Dubrovy district, he made his career in Vitsebsk region, and then he was a director at "Chyrvony Pishchavik" in Babruisk. In 2019-2024 he was a member of the "council of the republic". By the way, Aniukhouski's father used to be a "senator" too.

"Kammunarka" as a result of sanctions found itself in a difficult situation - it became harder to import the main cocoa ingredients necessary for the manufacture of confectionery, there are also difficulties in making payments.

"Due to the sanctions and other phenomena associated with the global world crisis, many major foreign players in the segment of confectionery production have curtailed their supplies to Belarus," Aniukhouski used to complain. It's not true about the crisis, there is no "global crisis," but that's not the point.

As it became known to "Nasha Niva," Lukashenka's financial authorities started to have questions to the director because of nuances in payment for imported goods, and he was detained. As an employee of "Kammunarka" told "Nasha Niva," it happened in April 2024.

According to the source, Aniukhouski was placed in a detention centre, but was released on the eve of the "All-Belarusian People's Assembly," a delegate of which he was appointed.

The source from "Kammunarka" is sure that Aniukhouski was saved by his status of a delegate of the "All-Belarusian People's Assembly". This argument was used by the petitioners-guarantors, and the leadership of the Investigative Committee met them halfway. They did not dare to keep the delegate behind bars during the meeting.

It is a fact that Aniukhouski is still listed as the head of the sweets giant.
