‘It's Too Late': Budanov Warns Russians

The rules of the game have changed.

Russian occupation forces are already feeling the blows of the Ukrainian Defence Forces with Western weapons on their territory. There is no point in Russians preparing for such attacks, as they are already happening and will continue.

This was said by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov on the air of the telethon. According to him, the permission to hit the Russian Federation with Western weapons will definitely ease the situation on the front, but ‘not less, not more’.

The MID chief emphasised that the Russians are already feeling the blows on their territory and it is too late for them to prepare for them. ‘As they say: it's too late now,’ Budanov said.

He also said that the Russian army is trying to strengthen the air defence system in the temporarily seized Crimea. The occupiers have deployed the latest elements of the S-500 anti-aircraft missile system there.

‘Russia's air defence system is being strengthened. This is quite obvious and understandable. The latest C-500 elements have appeared. In principle, this will be their trial use, but they have already appeared there (in Crimea. - Ed.),’ the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate said.

Budanov added that Russian troops also continue to use the illegally built Kerch bridge. They mainly transport personnel there.

‘The Kerch bridge is constantly used ... The main cargoes are transported through it, but first of all - it is personnel,’ added the MID head.
