Belarus Starts Call Up Persons Liable For Military Duty In New Ways

The experience of the war in Ukraine is being analysed at the training sessions with persons liable for military duty, said the state secretary of the ‘security council’ of Belarus, Aleksandr Volfovich.

On Tuesday, October 8, training sessions were held with military conscripts, who had previously served in special units of the Interior Ministry, and volunteers from the ‘Smerch’ detachment. Officers and soldiers who served in riot police units, special unit of internal troops, ‘Almaz’, internal troops took part in the training camp.

‘This is a new form of calling up military conscripts: for one day, for two days, on a day off, without using the mobilisation system, which has been worked out in Belarus,’ BelTA quoted the state secretary as saying.

‘If someone encroaches on our sovereignty, territorial integrity, then on Lukashenka's signal, the heads of the power bloc will give a command, and those who have excellent skills and methods of combat operations will arrive to the active units, bypassing the military enlistment offices, literally within a few hours,’ he said.
