More Powerful Than Previous One: Israel Launches Another Airstrike In Beirut

  • 4.10.2024, 7:36

The aim of the attack was to eliminate the successor of the Hezbollah leader.

Late in the evening of October 3, Israel launched a new strike against the Lebanese capital Beirut. The Axios publication writes about it, citing three Israeli officials.

‘Israel carried out a targeted strike in Beirut on Wednesday evening local time against the chairman of the executive committee of Hezbollah, Hashim Safiddin,’ the report said.

The strike targeted a suburb south of Beirut, where many Hezbollah facilities are located, the journalists noted.

According to Lebanese press reports, the Israeli strike was much more powerful than the September 27 strike that killed Hassan Nasrallah.

The number of casualties is not yet known.

The IDF have not yet commented on the strike.
