Ukrainian forces have gained a foothold in two settlements to the south-east of Korenevo.

Ukrainian forces have made progress in Kursk region. This is stated in a new report by the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Ukrainian forces have recently advanced southeast of Korenevo in the area of Ukraine's main ‘bridgehead’ in Kursk region.

Geolocation materials from October 24 show that Ukrainian forces were able to advance along the Snagost River north of Daryino and have likely gained a foothold in the settlements of Daryino and Nikolayevo-Daryino, which are located southeast of Korenevo, the report said.

A Russian military correspondent has said that Russian troops have allegedly advanced in the area between Sheptukovka and Khitrovka, as well as west of Tolstyi Lug in the direction of Zelenyi Put, but ISW has not yet confirmed this information.
