‘At Whose Expense Are Officials Living In Luxury? Manna From Heaven?’

Belarusians were outraged by Lukashenka's words.

Lukashenka said that there are “thousands and thousands of slackers” in the country who should be forced to work. This statement caused a wave of indignation among Belarusians, who noted that the real parasites are sitting in the offices of the nomenklatura.

A video about this on TikTok Charter97.org has collected many comments. Here are some of them:

“The authorities themselves drove people to this. Most were fired because of protests. Look at the statistics on the labor exchange or ask yourself — you will be surprised. A year ago there were almost no jobs, and now there are a sea of vacancies, but all for 800-1000 rubles.”

“Belarusians are very hardworking and industrious. Wherever they go, they are praised for their efficiency and responsibility. Only at home do they have the status of “parasites”.

“How can you work here if they hire you for one occupation, but then assign you additional responsibilities that they don't want to pay for.”

“They don't care whether you work or not — it's a reason to squeeze money out of you by any means necessary. A bad manager always blames someone else.”

“Do you know how many people from Belarus work on construction sites in Russia? My plant was closed, and what should I do? I went to work, but at home I'm already a “parasite”. These degenerates deprived me of my job, this is an organized crime group in power — they need to be chasen out with a broomstick.”

“I'd like to see the slackers — at most 3%. These are all those who sit in warm offices.”

“There are those who work, and they live no better than these slackers. The state has forgotten that people work for money, not for work.”

“In order not to pay exorbitant prices for utilities, you have to go to work for 600 rubles, right?”

“Even those with health problems try to find a job. Disabled people and pensioners. Otherwise, you can simply die of hunger and be left without a roof over your head.”

“What do you mean by “slackers”? People work where they are paid. People should have at least some rights, but they are cut off from everything.”

“For every working person, there are seven inspectors.”

“I agree, these are slackers and parasites, as well as arrogant officials. And here you get pennies in the form of a pension for 40 years of work and still have to work extra.”

“Everywhere they want young people, with experience, without children, ready to live at work, never getting sick, and at the same time they want to pay the minimum wage. There are exceptions, but there is not enough for all these exceptions.”

“It is not necessary to work officially. The less the state sees, the sounder it sleeps.”

“Slackers and lazy people sit in offices. And why don't they see them? And the salaries of these parasites, oh, are not small. Not like workers’, but much bigger.”

“Regarding the officials — it's the pure truth! Even when they screw up in their positions, they are not fired, but more often transferred to another position, and more often with a promotion. They don't give a damn!”

“The main parasites are in Drazdy.

“Yes, we have become accustomed over so many years to Luka fighting imaginary problems. He came up with it himself, he won, he praised himself.”

“And at whose expense are the officials living in luxury? Manna from heaven?”

“They came up with a minimum threshold, and I would have made a maximum one! Their salaries know no bounds! Previously, workers received more than managers.”

“Officials have always been far from the people! The main thing for them is to hold on to their positions! They do not understand that work should be paid decently, no one should work for pennies!”

“If a parasite, this does not mean that the person does not work. They just don't give a herd of parasites part of their salary.”

“Yes, that's true. And indeed, the bureaucrats and law-enforcers are like parasites sitting on our necks. Every official is a crook and a bandit.”

“We are moving closer and closer to the ideas of Juche.”
