Ukraine used American M1 Abrams tanks in battles in the Kursk region for the first time. A video of this weapon was filmed near Novoivanovka in Korenevsky District.

Meanwhile, the Russians advanced through the fields south of Sheptukhovka in Korenevsky District, and Ukrainian soldiers counterattacked near Zeleny Put, Novoivanovka, and Lyubimovka. The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported the situation in Kursk region.

Analysts noted that according to geolocation footage from October 21, the Russians recently advanced in the northern part of the salient in the Kursk region – in the fields south of Sheptukhovka (southeast of Korenevo). They achieved advancement during two mechanized assaults.

To the southeast of Korenevo, according to Russian sources, there was intense fighting, Ukrainian forces counterattacked near Zeleny Put, Novoivanovka and Lyubimovka.

It also became known that Ukrainian troops used M1 Abrams tanks for the first time in the Kursk region during attacks near Novoivanovka. This was reported by both Ukrainian and Russian sources. In particular, Russian publics published a video in which Abrams was recorded firing. The Russians tried to explain the use of American tanks by the desire of the Ukrainians to "moderate the successful counteroffensive of the Russian military in this direction."

One of the Russian Z-bloggers also claimed that the fighting took place in the Glushkovsky district - near Novoi Put.
