Israel Confirms Elimination Of Hezbollah's New Leader

The Israel Defence Forces have confirmed that an airstrike in Beirut on October 4 killed the head of Hezbollah's executive council, Hashim Safi al-Din, who allegedly succeeded Hassan Nasrallah after his elimination.

This was reported by the Times of Israel.

Along with Safi al-Din, the head of the organisation's intelligence unit, Hussein Ali Hazima, was killed.

The target of the strike was Hezbollah's clandestine intelligence headquarters in Beirut.

According to the IDF, more than 25 members of Hezbollah's intelligence unit, including top commanders, were in the headquarters at the time of the strike.

We remind you that on the night of October 4, the Israeli aviation struck Beirut. The target of the attack could have been Hezbollah's likely new leader, Hashim Safi al-Din.
