'There Are Many Conflicts In Kim Jong-un Family'

How can South Korea help Ukraine?

Newsweek writes that South Korea may send troops to Ukraine. These could be intelligence officers and specialists on the DPRK.

How realistic is this scenario? Charter97.org asked Ukrainian military-political observer of the Information Resistance group Oleksandr Kovalenko:

– If we are talking specifically about consultative forces, then yes, this is quite possible. I emphasize, not about assault brigades and the like, but specifically about consultations. It should be recognized that Ukraine has very little information about North Korea.

We have more in-depth information and extensive contacts regarding Iran, but not the DPRK.

For us, North Korea is something that we are very poorly informed about. Consultations are needed, since the situation there in the hierarchy and relationships is very difficult. It would seem that there is only Kim Jong-un on the throne and so on, but in fact this is not entirely true. There are other specific forces, internal conflicts, including intra-family ones.

We, Ukrainians, need information about the structure of the North Korean army, the methods of training their troops. I do not rule out that South Korea can help us in this matter.

– Will this be a strengthening for Ukraine?

– Information is also a combat strengthening. After all, we will receive knowledge about the North Korean army, but if we talk about physical strengthening, no.

– Can Seoul move to even more radical forms of support?

– Yes, it is quite possible. South Korea has a wide range of weapons that could help Ukraine in the war with the Russian Federation. Until now, they have not sent us lethal weapons. And in this matter, South Korea can help Ukraine, from ammunition to weapons and gear.

They have different, very interesting systems that would be useful to us. Let me emphasize that there will be no physical presence of South Korean units and officers on the battlefield.
