The Ukrainian forces eliminated high-ranking occupiers in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation.

At the beginning of the operation in the Kursk region, the Armed Forces of Ukraine had room to operate, since there were no concentrated enemy forces and continuous echeloned defence, which requires heavy counter-battles.

Hero of Ukraine said this, brigade commander of the 95th Air Assault Brigade Oleh Apostol, call sign "Formosa", in an interview with Novinarna. He noted that thanks to this situation, the Ukrainian military could maneuver, conduct raids, "advance to the right or left - wherever you want."

"We also need to note the work of our aviation and artillery. If I need to hit a certain point, I have it. If I need to use the HIMARS - also without question. They also played their role. And what appeared in Ukraine and what did not exist before is the use of aviation: it hits the target with an accuracy of 2-3 m. This is very cool," the military man says.

He added that the MiG and SU aircraft refitted to carry foreign bombs are operating in Kursk region.

Apostol said that the operation in the Kursk region was going smoothly until almost the end of August, and the Ukrainian military managed to take many prisoners. "We are standing still now; it is already more difficult to fight. In order to take some position, you need to make a lot more effort," the soldier said, adding that "our line of defense has already been built, and theirs... You can't fight that hard anymore."

Apostol also noted that the Russians have already managed to dig into the Kursk region.

In addition, "Formosa" reported how many Russians his brigade managed to destroy. "More than a hundred killed. We are grinding them down very well. Yesterday there were 18 assault actions, 9 of which were airborne troops. We did not lose a single position. But imagine how many of them we have ground down," the soldier emphasized.

"Our paratroopers eliminated the regiment commander of the 76th division. And the deputy brigade commander of the 83rd brigade. They hit him with an FPV. Confirmed," added the brigade commander of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade.
