Drones Damadges The Largest Explosives Plant In Russia

The operation 900 km from the border with Ukraine was carried out by the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine), the Special Operations Forces and the Defence Intelligence.

On the night of October 19-20, drones of the SBU, the Special Operations Forces and the Defence Intelligence struck the Sverdlov Plant in the city of Dzerzhinsk (Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation), NV sources in the Ukrainian special services reported.

According to Ukrainian officers, the enterprise is part of the Russian defence industry complex and is under sanctions from the EU and the United States, since the plant's products are used to wage war in Ukraine.

At this plant, the Russians produce explosives, aviation and artillery shells, aviation bombs, including KABs, warheads for cumulative anti-tank guided missiles, warheads for air defence missile systems. The distance from the Ukrainian border to the plant is 900 kilometers.

"The SBU has worked on strengthening sanctions against the Sverdlov plant. We have added drone sanctions to economic sanctions, which have an immediate effect. Work on reducing the enemy's military capabilities will continue," an informed source in the Ukrainian special services told NV.

On the night of October 19-20, explosions thundered in the city of Dzerzhinsk in the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation.

As reported by the Russian publication Astra, the Sverdlov Plant, which is part of the Russian defence industry facility, was hit.

Later, Russian media and Telegram channels reported smoke over Dzerzhinsk.
