The Telegraph: North Korea Sent One Of Its Most Secret Special Units To Russia

North Korea has transferred its special forces unit, the DPRK Special Operations Forces, to Russia. It is one of the most secret in the world. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to The Telegraph.

According to journalists, the DPRK uses these forces for reconnaissance and testing of South Korea's defence capabilities. The special forces unit was founded around 1968 and is best known for its failed attempt to attack the Blue House (the residence of the President of South Korea).

In addition, the 2021 US Department of Defense report reads that North Korean special operations forces have a high level of training, motivation, and are provided with modern gear. It also reads that the special forces unit is one of the most secret units in the world.
