Ukrainian Forces Captured Luhansk Guard Combat Wing Leader

He raised the Russian flag over the Luhansk Regional State Administration in 2014.

One of the most famous Luhansk collaborators, Herman Prokopiv, who plunged Luhansk into war in 2014, was previously captured by the Ukrainian forces.

Footage of the traitor was recently published on Ukrainian military channels. He was identified by Ukrainian blogger and writer Denis Kazansky, Dialog.UA reports.

In 2014, Prokopiv was the leader of the combat wing of the separatist group "Luhansk Guard". He directly participated in the occupation of the region by Russia and even hung the Russian national flag over the building of the Luhansk Regional State Administration.

"He is difficult to recognize in the video, his life has clearly battered him in recent years... Prokopiv is a war criminal. Back in 2014, according to various testimonies, he took part in the kidnapping, torture and murder of Luhansk residents who preserve the pro-Ukrainian position. Prokopiv is one of those who plunged Luhansk into a bloody mess that has been seething for 10 years now,” Kazansky noted.

He emphasized that Prokopiv must answer according to the law for his participation in unleashing a bloody war.

Prokopiv is also included in the “black list” of the Ukrainian Peacemaker.

“A person subject to immediate detention and transfer to law enforcement agencies of Ukraine or NATO member states… Took part in the seizure of the building of the Luhansk regional department of the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine). He’s a member of the terrorist organization Luhansk Guard. The sanctions have been imposed on the organization by the European Union, the UK, Canada and Ukraine,” the project representatives reported.
