Almost three hundred buildings lost power.

On the morning of October 19, explosions thundered in Russian St. Petersburg. Local residents reported a drone attack.

This was reported by the Telegram channel of the Fontanka publication.

Thus, at about 7:00, residents of Russian St. Petersburg reported that they heard explosions.

"A drone was shot down in St. Petersburg on October 19. According to the information provided, the UAV was shot down by air defense forces. There is no threat to the population," the publication claims.

Residents also report that electricity was lost in the Vyborgsky and Primorsky districts of St. Petersburg.

"The lights started to flicker, the picture on the TV disappeared, then three bangs were heard," "something crashed and the power went out," "there was a hum in the vacant lot (where Shuvalovsky Prospekt should go, - ed.)," local residents wrote, some even claimed that paintings were falling from the walls.

The "bang" was heard even in dachas near the Orlovsky quarry.

Power engineers said that there was allegedly a technological failure in the 110 kV equipment. According to Fontanka, almost three hundred buildings in the Primorsky District of St. Petersburg were left without electricity. There has been no power in the houses for more than two hours.

In addition, the moment of the explosions in St. Petersburg was published online. The video was filmed by residents of one of the villages in the Leningrad Region. At the same time, the local authorities are silent about the attack.
