Belarusian Woman Died In Turkey While Paragliding

A Belarusian woman died during an unsuccessful paragliding flight near the Turkish city of Alanya. According to Zerkalo, the incident on September 25 was reported by the local publication Cumhuriyet.

It is reported that a Belarusian woman with the initials D.S. (full name not reported in the publication) performed a joint jump with an instructor on the Yassy Tepe hill. During the flight, the paraglider hovered in the air for some time, and then lost control and fell in the forest.

Rescuers and doctors arrived at the scene. The doctors declared the Belarusian woman dead. The injured instructor was taken to the hospital.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident.

Earlier it was reported about another tragedy in Turkey involving Belarusians. A passenger car hit two of our compatriots who were riding bicycles from the direction of the city of Kas, Antalya province. The victims were taken to the hospital, where Belarusian woman Viktoryja Kalausava died.
