Russian Large Landing Ship ‘Olenegorsky Gornyak’ Drowning In Novorossiysk Bay

Unmanned surface vessels hit a target at a Russian military base.

After a night attack by USVs on Novorossiysk, one of the Russian landing ships was damaged. One of its compartments flooded, causing the vessel to roll over onto its side.

The ship is currently being towed to shore. This was announced by Russian propagandist Vladislav Pozdnyakov in his Telegram channel.

“A large landing ship has been hit. One of its compartments flooded, causing it to roll. A comrade-in-arms working in the port confirms this. The same false reports are brought to the table of our president ... But there is good news, the ship can be restored,” he wrote.

The information is confirmed by other Russian publics. They report that the attack by unmanned kamikaze boats on the naval base in Novorossiysk was successful. The Olenegorsky Gornyak large landing ship was damaged, UNIAN reports.

A video appeared on the internet in which the ship is tilting on its side and slowly sinking. Near it are several other ships, probably summoned there for the evacuation of the crew.

Officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, blogger Anatoly Stefan “Stirlitz” ironically commented on the defeat of the Russian large landing ship. He published a photo of a sinking ship and several comments from Russians who no longer believe the Russian Defense Ministry.

As the Charter97.org website reported earlier, on the night of August 4, a series of loud explosions thundered in Novorossiysk. Russian publics claim there was an attack of marine drones.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine tried to attack the Novorossiysk naval base with two unmanned surface vessels.

The local port is now closed to ship traffic.
