Powerful explosions thundered on the peninsula, the Kerch bridge was blocked.

On the night of Saturday, August 12, powerful explosions sounded in the temporarily Russian-occupied Crimea. Local residents said that they heard the sounds of drones, explosions and saw gunshot flashes in Novoozerne, where a large Russian military base is located.

Russian and local Telegram channels write about this. According to the Crimean Wind, it was a real “doomsday” at the military base of the Russian Federation in Novoozerne.

The invaders blocked the Crimean bridge.

“The movement of vehicles on the Crimean bridge is temporarily blocked. Those who are on the bridge and in the inspection zone are asked to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security officers,” the Information Center for Highways in the Crimea reported at 01:30.

The Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported that drones were flying over Novoozerne for about an hour. The authors also published a video where you can hear the sounds of shooting, loud explosions and see flashes in the sky.

According to the media outlet, in this settlement there is a Russian military storage base deployed before the start of the war — 943 CZMR. “According to our subscribers, they stored an enormous quantity of equipment there,” the message says.

Explosions were also heard in the area of Feodosia in the Kirovsk district in the east of the peninsula.

According to the local publics, the explosion near Feodosia was quite strong. Internet resources claim that “several rockets flew” in the Chaudu region.

“What are those explosions in the city? ... The third boom was the loudest… I saw something blasting near the oil depot and somewhere else nearby,” the ChP Feodosia Telegram channel writes.

At the same time, Oleg Kryuchkov, an adviser to the fake “head” of the Crimea, said that “air defense systems worked” over different regions of the peninsula.

Already in the morning, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that allegedly “20 drones were eliminated by air defense forces and means” this night over the occupied Crimea.

The MoD of the aggressor country said that 14 drones were shot down, and another 6 were “suppressed” by electronic warfare.
