Sabalenka Wanted A Porsche But She Was Weaker Than The First Racket Of The World

The Belarusian tennis player lost the final tournament in Stuttgart.

On April 23, Aryna Sabalenka played her fourth final match in 2023. In the final match of the WTA-500 tournament in Stuttgart, Germany, with a prize fund of $780,637, she lost to the representative of Poland, Iga Swiatek - 3:6, 4:6.

For the Belarusian, this was already the third final in Stuttgart. Sabalenka lost two years ago and in 2022. It happened once again. The second racket of the world lost to the first rating number player.

The opponents successfully started seven games in a row during the first set, but then the Polish player made a break. As a result, she won - 6:3.

In the second set, Swiatek immediately took Aryna's serve. And she could not turn the tide - 6:4, Iga won.

Also, Sabalenka admitted just before the final that she would like to get the traditional prize for the winner of the German tournament - a Porsche car. The additional prize did not help her to win.

Recall that the Belarusian played the fourth final in 2023. Aryna won in Adelaide and the Australian Open in Melbourne, and then lost in the American Indian Wells.
