Defense Intelligence: By Lukashenka’s Order, Belarusian Military Could Be Sent To Ukraine

Ukrainian intelligence assessed the risk of a new invasion from Belarus.

The Belarusian military may be sent to fight in Ukraine. This was stated by the representative of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andriy Chernyak.

Ukrainian intelligence continues to monitor Russian troops on the territory of Belarus and Russia's attempt to involve Belarusians in the war against Ukraine.

“We see that Belarus seems to support Russia and at the same time is trying by all means to refrain from joining the war. We also see how Russia puts pressure on them,” Chernyak said.

The representative of the Defence Intelligence added that according to military intelligence estimates, the Belarusian military would be forced to obey the orders of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, and could be involved in the war against Ukraine.

“However, in the next two or three weeks, the Russians have neither the strength nor the means to invade from the territory of Belarus,” Chernyak added.
