The territories occupied by the occupiers since 2016 have been liberated.

Judging by the footage published online, Ukrainian fighters have advanced into the territory occupied near Horlivka in 2016.

Ukrainian military expert Artem Kravchuk showed a map of the AFU's advance on his Telegram channel, based on preliminary information.

According to the map analysis, the AFU's advance deep into the Russian positions northwest of Horlivka was about 500 metres.

"The situation is being clarified, the map has been changed, visual data is being analysed," he added.

Information about the AFU offensive also came from the Russian side.

The Russian military propagandist of the Russia-1 TV channel, Alexander Sladkov, confirmed in his telegram channel the problems of the Russian army near Gorlovka in the area of the dump: the AFU stormed to take control of its half.

According to Sladkov, the front line now runs along the depression between the two parts of the dump. According to him, the circumstances have turned against the Russian army.

Earlier, a few kilometres north of Horlivka, the AFU launched a counter-offensive operation on the southern flank of Bakhmut, taking full control of a swathe of territory.
