Kalinouski Regiment Commander: We Will Avenge Olenivka

Belarusian volunteers are ready to get even for their brothers in arms.

The Russian occupiers who committed crimes in the former penal colony in Olenivka, Donetsk region, are not military enemies, but non-humans. Dzianis Prokharau, the commander of the Belarusian Kastus Kalinouski Regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated this in an interview with the editor-in-chief of the gordonua.com publication Olesia Batsman.

He hopes the defenders of the Mariupol Azovstal plant will come home.

“It’s hard to say when on the other side we don’t even have some kind of military enemy, but there are just bad people who simply burned Olenivka down. It's hard for me to even predict. They are non-humans, I can't understand their actions... Will we do something to avenge Olenivka? We continue to do all this, we continue to take revenge,” said Prokharau.

He noted that he knew all the people killed in Olenivka.

“I checked the lists of people who died, their names. I know all the names and persons listed there. All of them. That is why I hope that the guys will come back. However, I cannot comment on what they have done. This was just a place where they tortured the Azov fighters, later they simply burned them alive together with the place. I don’t know how to comment on this,” Prokharau emphasized.
