Russian political analyst, essayist and journalist Georgy Bovt commented on the situation for Radio "Komsomolskaya Pravda".

"We are tied together, or, if you want, in a trap with Lukashenka. He is in a desperate situation. Sectoral sanctions are very tough and serious. And the Belarusian economy is about to go down quite sharply. Transit plays quite an important role in it. Two-thirds of this transit is Russian," said the political analyst.

"No one has ever brought him down a peg about the transit. Nobody has twisted a finger at the temple and said: "Aliaksandr, you are out of your mind a bit. Are you going to block the transit for us?" he added.

At the same time, Bovt confirmed that in case of a transit ban, the logistics of the goods will undergo serious changes, which will have a significant impact on the final price of goods.
