Dozens Of Journalists Detained In Belarus

In Belarus, journalists of Komsomolskaya Pravda, Belsat, tut.by, Nasha Niva, Radio Racyja, BelaPAN and other media have been detained.

This has been reported by the Belarusian Association of Journalists.

Journalists Liubou Luniova, Zakhar Shcharbakou, Dzmitry Karenka, Iryna Kozlik, Henadz Barbarych, Iryna Arekhouskaya, Artsiom Harbatsevich, Volha Bykouskaya, Aliaksandr Barasenka, Artsiom Shraibman have been detained in Minsk.

Two tut.by journalists Alena Bychkova, Ivan Yaryvanovich and journalist of the BelaPAN Alena Hermanovich have been detained in Homel.

In Vitsebsk, journalists of Belsat Volha Chaychyts and Andrei Kozel have also been detained, the same as correspondent of Radio Racyja in the Vitsebsk region Artsiom Siventsau.

Journalist Hanna Bedyaka has been detained during the mass arrest in the office of the "Viasna" HRC, closed by the authorities.

In Homel, journalists Maria Bulavinskaya, Marina Drabysheuskaya and Yauhen Merkis were summoned to the police allegedly for drawing up administrative offense charges, at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Currently, the journalists' phones are unavailable.
